ÓLOEO SOBRE GRISALLA DE FOTOGRÁFIA EN BLANCO Y NEGRO SOBRE LIENZO
OIL ON BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHIC GRISAILLE ON CANVAS.

The narrative, the story to be told is the most important thing in art: The difficult balance between nature and human beings. Nature struggles to survive and recover the space that man has been taking from it. Thus turning these images into a metaphor of the times we live in.

Another idea that this artistic work contributes is the transformation of the city, the recomposition of the urban space and the ordering of the buildings to turn it into the Ideal City. This transformative idea is idealized with the important presence of nature that replaces asphalt. Isn’t that a great idea?

Also, this technique is my personal discovery and I still don’t know anyone who performs it in a similar way. I capture the landscapes with my camera to later compose them freely with the computer. Once the fabric is printed on canvas, I prepare it with a spatula with a transparent resin that produces that characteristic texture. From here the magic begins by adding the oil colors and the texture that the painting, little by little, asks from me.
